Spiritual Initiation - Milestones To Enlightenment
|
by William Meader
The journey to enlightenment is one governed by initiation. This is a fact often overlooked by those who yearn for spiritual growth. In the Esoteric Tradition, the study of spiritual initiation is a cornerstone of inquiry. To understand it is to grasp the requirements for walking the Path with greater comprehension and assurance. Often people hold the view that enlightenment is a state of consciousness suggesting spiritual perfection, and freedom from further incarnational life. From one perspective this is true. Enlightenment can be viewed as a final consummation. Unfortunately, when strictly holding to this definition, there is the tendency to forget that spiritual evolution is gradual. As such, it is valid to view enlightenment as an incremental process as well. Over countless lives, the soul is progressively learning how to express itself in the outer world. Each incarnation sees the soul gain a measure of added effectiveness in this regard.

Did You Really Mean To Say That?
|
by Jean-Claude Koven
How do you deal with a wise-cracking, irreverent dog with serious attitude? What's more, Zeus (that's his name) tells me that he's not a dog at all but an advanced being in dog form, here to turn my world inside out. For example:
DID YOU REALLY MEAN TO SAY THAT?
Very few restaurants in Los Angeles cater to both man and dog - even a dog that has incarnated from another dimension to help Earth's inhabitants cope with the major challenges ahead. However, a handful of excellent eateries in West Hollywood are exceptions to the rule. They welcome us with open arms, provided we sit at one of their outdoor tables. Tres European. One particular day I was deep into my second cappuccino and the morning paper's crossword puzzle when I began to notice Zeus's unintelligible muttering.

Opening Your Sushumna Central Chi Channel
|
by Bill Bodri
If we analyze the various esoteric exercises and teachings of Esoteric Buddhism, Vajrayana, and Tibetan Buddhism with its Generation and Completion Stage yogas, all these various practices can essentially be classified into two stages.
First, there are the yogic exercises for getting the chi to enter into the central channel, which is also known as the sushumna or middle mai. Next, there is a second stage consisting of cultivation exercises, or yogas, that are performed once the energies have been withdrawn from other areas and concentrated in this channel.
Thus, the first requirement of the Tantras is to get the chi to enter into the central channel, but to do so, you must first prepositionally cultivate the chi and mai otherwise it will not be possible.

|
by Ana Garcia
There is a way to mix spiritual truths with business in order to be able to apply a higher purpose to our work. The 10 Commandments of Success will remind you of a few good truths!
We see people becoming successful around us everyday, no matter how uncertain times we live in or how fluctuating our society may be. Opportunities come and go more than ever, but what is it that makes some of us hold on to the abundance that is our birth right while others see it as a slippery dream that seems to avoid us?
There are certain strategies and ways of being that we need to achieve in order to be able to create a strong foundation to allow energy, money and abundance to come into our lives and be held within the frame of our capacity to receive:

The Ki of Aikido-An Oriental Concept of ''Energy'', ''Self'' and ''Mind''
|
by Charlie Badenhop
Introduction
This article is the first as a three part series. It will introduce you to the concepts of Energy, Self, and Mind, from an Oriental perspective. The second article in the series will talk about cultivating "ki" within one's self. The third article will discuss how an Aikido practitioner attempts to sense, understand, and blend with the "ki" of their partner, and point to how you can use such a mindset in your daily life.
Preface
There are many different ways to perceive, utilize, and benefit from energy. What I offer here is one of many ways. Indeed when I do other kinds of activities I perceive of and work with energy in quite a different manner. What follows is my experience of energy while performing Aikido over the course of more than twenty years.

What Program Is On Your Inner TV?
|
by Dr. Margaret Paul
What's playing on your inner TV? Your inner TV is the screen in your mind upon which you create various scenarios. Perhaps the channel is "Reliving the Past." Maybe it's "Controlling the Future." Is your channel on "Obsessive Thinking" where you are ruminating over and over about a situation or about how you want to handle something?
Our mind tends to go on and on making up stuff, as if what it is thinking is always the truth. However, the mind has been deeply programmed since childhood to think and believe in ways that often have nothing to do with truth.

Freedom....
The cherished goal of humanity throughout its history.
No society has ever been happy under the rule of people of some other society. History, from one perspective, is nothing but a struggle between two groups-one attempting to enslave or keeping enslaved the other and the other fighting incessantly to ward off this slavery. All wars are nothing but a manifestation of this ancient phenomenon. It seems we cannot tolerate losing our freedom and at the same time we cannot allow others to be free. When we are under the rule of someone else we fight to throw off the shackles and when we are free we strive to enslave others.

Here is a little exercise I want you to do.
Imagine walking into a room and meeting the 'you' of ten years from now. What will you be wearing? Where will you be living? What will your lifestyle be like? What car will you be driving? Will you be running a business? If so, how successful will you be? What will your net worth be?
You really only have three choices here about how the ¢â¬you of the future¢â¬â¢ will look, and this is where the power of this exercise lies:
1. Somewhere in between how you are now, and a depressed, broke and scruffy tramp.
2. An exact clone of how you are now - absolutely nothing has changed in a decade.

The Differences Between Angels, Humans, and Elementals
|
by Iasos
When the sun-god and sun-goddess of our solar system, Helios & Vesta, were creating this system (their family), they designed it as a platform for evolution for three distinct kingdoms: the Human Kingdom, the Angelic Kingdom, and the Elemental Kingdom. These three kingdoms were designed to have complementary inter-locking roles or functions, within a synergistic whole. None of them are any "higher" or "more evolved" than any other, since in each kingdom there is unlimited room for further expansions into Light and Consciousness.
The Human Kingdom
The beings in the Human Kingdom were created as step-down transformers for Divine thought-forms, to remanifest the heavens of the higher spiritual planes onto the denser planes of form and matter.
